When and how is the security deposit refunded?

The security deposit is given back on the check-out date if everything is ok with the room and common areas (that is, if they are in the same conditions as in the check-in date). If they’re not (that is, if something is damaged or missing), part or the totality of the deposit will not be refunded.

 

Conditions for reservation cancellations:

a) Cancellations until 60 days before check-in date: refunds first month of rent but doesn’t refund Security Deposit;
b) Cancellations between 59 and 30 days before check-in date: refunds just half of the first month of rent, and doesn’t refund security deposit;

SIM Card - Which SIM card is right for you?

You get to choose between 2 mobile plans.

 

Both of them include:

  • - Free calls + text messages to all Portuguese networks
  • - Free unlimited data for certain apps (Facebook Messenger, Snapchat, Whatsapp, Skype, Viber, Facetime, iMessage, BBM, Vine and tyPing)
  • - After the activation the first 30 days are for free

 

Option 1 includes:

  • - 1 GB of additional free data
  • - It costs 2,35 Eur per week (and you can recharge the sim cards at our office for free, if you run out of money)

 

Option 2 includes:

  • - 5 GB of additional free data
  • - Meo Music, which is a music streaming site similar to Spotify Premium
  • - Meo Cloud - a cloud based data storage service (similar to Dropbox)

Airport Pickup - How does this work?

In order to avoid any stress on the first day of your Erasmus, we will hook you up with a premium car service so you get to your new apartment safe and sound. (If you don’t have an apartment yet, don’t forget to check out the Seen&Approved section of our website!)

 

After you give us your flight information and arrival time, we will organize everything. There will be a driver waiting for you with a welcome sign bearing your name (just like in the movies!). He’s taking you anywhere you want - within the boundaries of Lisbon of course :)

 

In case you are travelling in a group, no need to worry. Tell your friends to get a OneClickPack too and if we see that you guys are on the same flight we will put you in the same car(s)

Bank Account - Why do I need a bank account?

It’s smart to have a Portuguese bank account because most international students need it eventually. You’ll probably pay a lot of money in ATM fees, so this is the best solution to manage your finances.

However opening a bank account is difficult anywhere in the World.

That’s why we partner up with BPI to make life easy for you - No waiting in lines, you get instantly a provisional debit card and you don’t have to pay any maintenance fees.

And for most cases we’ll only need your ID to open it.

 

The student account also includes:

  • - Internet banking in English
  • - Easy money transfer (if your parents decide to add some funds to your account)

 

Also, in Portugal, a Portuguese bank account may be mandatory if you want to sign up for certain things like gyms, etc…

Transports Card - What is this?

If you are a commuter and have to travel to your school or just want to explore the city and jump from one neighbourhood to another - then, the VIVA Card is just what you need. It grants you unlimited usage of the Metro, busses and trains of the city.

 

Our Partners at the Lisbon Transpor Authority have hooked us with a discount, so if you decide to get the 5 months card in advance, you will get a 5% discount on the purchase. You can pay for it when you collect your Transports card at our Office.

For most of the Erasmus students and interns insurance is mandatory - not only medical, but also liability and accidents. Since we are not an insurance provider we can’t sell it directly to you, but after buying the One Click Pack you will get a confirmation email which will forward you to the insurance provider AON.
